How to apply for a Vedicology Foundation scholarship
Five simple steps, and you never start alone.

start to finish
Applying is simpler than you might expect
To apply to the Vedicology Foundation, read our Student Scholarship Opportunities Guide, find the programme that fits you, and fill in a short application form — or talk to your Programme Officer by phone, WhatsApp or email. The form takes 4 to 5 minutes and asks for details only, with no document upload. There is no pile of papers to gather before you begin — once we review your form, we guide you on the documents you need. It costs nothing, at any stage.
We know that asking for support can be the hardest part — harder, sometimes, than the situation that led you here. So we have tried to make the path as gentle and as honest as we can. Nothing here is a test, and at every point you can stop and ask us anything.
The five steps, start to finish
Step 1 of 5
Check that we can support you
Start by reading through the situations we support. We support girls and women aged 18 and above who have lost a parent’s financial support — because a parent has passed away, has left the family, or can no longer provide. We also support girls leaving a registered children’s home through the Care Leaver Scholarship, and women rebuilding their lives — widows, women whose husbands have left, and separated women — through vocational training. If even one situation sounds like your life, you may qualify. If your situation is close, that is enough to begin.
See all the situations we support on the Who We Support page.
Even better — make the guide your very first step.
Download the Student Scholarship Opportunities Guide. It is written just for you, and it answers most questions in one place: who qualifies, the marks we look at, the full list of documents, and what happens after you apply. Share a few details, and we send the guide straight to you. There is no obligation.
Step 2 of 5
Find the right kind of support
Next, get a sense of what you might apply for. There is the Care Leaver Scholarship for young women leaving a registered children’s home, the Merit Scholarship for college study, and coaching for competitive exams like NEET, JEE, CA, CMA, UPSC and CAT. If you are already in college and at risk of dropping out over fees, there is the Education Continuity Grant — one year of 50% to 75% of your tuition, paid to your college. If you are in college and your earning parent has died or been diagnosed with a critical illness in the last 180 days, there is Emergency Assistance, a one-time payment. There is also Vocational Training, and — for students of government institutions (not government-aided) — Exam Fee Support and Study Material and Device Support. Some of these have a marks requirement and some have none at all. Where we pay a share of your fees, it is between 50% and 75%; the Care Leaver Scholarship pays 100%.
Browse everything on the All Programmes page, and see the numbers on the Marks Eligibility page.
Step 3 of 5
Gather your documents (and don’t worry if some are missing)
Start collecting the documents that show who you are, what your situation is, and how your studies are going. Some of these — like an income certificate from a government office — can take a few weeks to come through, so it helps to begin early. Section 7 of the guide lists every document you may need, including the ones for your own situation.
You do not need every document before you apply in Step 4. And please read this part carefully, because it matters most:
We have supported many students to put their documents in order, and we can do the same for you.
Step 4 of 5
Apply for a support programme
By now, you will have gone through our programmes, read the Student Scholarship Opportunities Guide, and have a clear idea of what you may qualify for. Once you are sure you would like to apply, fill in the application form below. It takes no more than 4 to 5 minutes.
This form is your chance to present your application for an initial evaluation. Tell us about your situation clearly, in your own words. It helps us understand your academic and social background, so that we can come back to you with any further questions.
We review these basic details, then guide you on the documents you need.

What happens after you apply
Once you have applied, here is what we do, so there are no surprises and nothing left to guess. It usually takes 4 to 6 weeks from a complete application; Exam Fee Support and Study Material and Device Support usually take 7 to 10 working days.
- We confirm your application within 10 to 15 working days.
- We check your documents.
- A Programme Officer visits your home — and we want to be clear, this is a friendly conversation, not an inspection. It helps us understand your situation properly so we can support you in the right way. (If you are leaving a registered Child Care Institution, we visit your institution instead.)
- We check your institution. For coaching, we make sure the institute has qualified faculty, a record of results and a real learning environment.
- Our Scholarship Committee reviews your case with care.
- We tell you the decision in writing. If you are not selected, we explain why.
- If you are selected, we pay your college or training institution directly and you receive written confirmation — you never have to handle the money yourself.
