A skill you can earn a living from

If you are a widow, a woman whose husband has left, or a separated woman, and you are trying to find your own feet again, the Vedicology Foundation helps you train in a skill you can earn a living from. No marks are needed, and we pay 50% to 75% of your course fees directly to the training institute.

This is different from the scholarships we offer to students. For women in your situation, the help is practical and direct: a skill, and a way to use it.

A skill is something no one can take from you. It is yours to keep, yours to use, and it can become an income earned on your own terms — which is exactly what you need when you are starting again. The Foundation pays for vocational training across Tamil Nadu and Kerala for women who are rebuilding their lives, and this page explains who it is for and how to begin.

Age eligibility

We support girls and women aged 18 and above. We do not fund minors.

Who We Support

Who this is for

This training is for women who are managing on their own. You qualify if you are:

Managing on your own

Widow

You have lost your husband.

Husband has left

Your husband has left, and you are managing without his support.

Separated

You are living apart from your husband and supporting yourself.

You do not need to prove your story with documents to start a conversation with us. If your situation is close to one of these, please reach out — we would far rather you ask than decide on your own that you do not qualify.

What we offer you is a skill, not a scholarship

We want to be clear about what we offer women, so you know exactly what to expect.

For women rebuilding their lives, the Foundation provides vocational training — not scholarships. Scholarships are part of our work with college students. For you, the more useful help is a marketable skill you can start earning from, rather than fees for a degree. The training is built around work you can actually find or create near where you live.

Here is exactly what we pay. The Foundation pays 50% to 75% of your course fees directly to the training institute — our Scholarship Committee decides the exact share — and also covers the tools, uniforms or materials you need, your certification exam fees, and travel support to reach the training centre where needed. A small contribution from you keeps you invested in your own journey.

See the courses and how the training works on the Vocational Training page.

It does not matter what you studied before

You do not need any past marks to join. There is no marks bar — what matters is your real interest in the course and your promise to finish it, not what you studied years ago.

If it has been a long time since you were in a classroom, that is completely fine. These courses are made for adults starting fresh, and you will be learning alongside other women doing exactly the same.

How to start

You do not need to gather paperwork to begin. Fill in the short online form on the How to Apply page — about 4 to 5 minutes, details only, with no document upload — or simply talk to us.

Message us on WhatsApp, or call the same number, and tell us a little about your situation and the kind of work that interests you. We will explain honestly what training is available, and help you take it from there. If you are a widow, the papers we ask for are your husband’s death certificate and your identity proof. If your husband has left or you are separated, a desertion certificate or legal separation order — or an affidavit if there is no formal order. Missing documents should not stop you from reaching out. See the full process on the How to Apply page.

Important

Vedicology Foundation never charges any fee — no application fee, processing fee, registration fee, or documentation fee. Applying is free, at every stage. If anyone asks you for money in our name, please report it to us.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I get a scholarship as well, or only training?+
For women in this situation, the Foundation offers vocational training — not scholarships. Scholarships are part of our work with college students. The training is meant to lead you to an income of your own.
I never finished school. Can I still join?+
Yes, you can apply. No marks are needed. What matters is your real interest in the course and your promise to finish it. These courses are made for adults starting fresh.
I am separated but not legally divorced. Do I qualify?+
You may. If you are living apart from your husband and supporting yourself, please reach out and we will talk it through with you. The papers we usually ask for are a desertion certificate or a legal separation order — or, if you have no formal order, an affidavit. You do not need them to start the conversation.
Does the training cost anything?+
Applying is free, at every stage. For the course itself, we pay 50% to 75% of the course fees directly to the training institute, and also cover tools, uniforms or materials, certification exam fees, and travel support where needed. A small contribution from you keeps you invested in your own journey. If anyone asks you for money in our name, please report it to or on WhatsApp at +91 98400 14586.
What kind of work can the training lead to?+
It depends on the course — but the trades are chosen because they lead to real jobs or self-employment, in areas like healthcare support, beauty and wellness, tailoring, hospitality, computer skills, retail, and early childhood education.
