How Vedicology Foundation supports girls and women

You do not have to know which programme is right for you before you get in touch. If you are not sure where you fit, that is completely normal — tell us your situation and we will point you to the right support, or tell you honestly if we are not the right place. It costs nothing to ask.

Our Programmes

Our eight programmes

Vedicology Foundation runs eight programmes for adolescent girls from orphaned and single-parent homes, and for destitute women, across Tamil Nadu and Kerala. They cover the things that most often stop a girl from finishing her education or building a livelihood: college fees, coaching for competitive exams, a skill to earn from, a sudden crisis, exam fees, and books or a device to study with. The fullest of them funds the entire education of a girl leaving a children’s home. Below is each one in a line or two, with a link to the full details — find the one that matches your situation.

We support adolescent girls and women aged 18 and above. We do not fund minors.

Scholarships★ Flagship

Care Leaver Scholarship

If you grew up in a registered children’s home and are leaving at 18 with no family to return to, this is our deepest commitment to you: we fund 100% of your college education — the only programme that covers the complete cost. A fully funded vocational course is an equal path if a degree is not for you.

Scholarships

Merit Scholarship

Our flagship scholarship for girls who have earned strong marks despite everything life has put in their way. It is renewable for the full length of your course, with a gentler marks bar for full orphans.

Grant

Education Continuity Grant

For a girl already in college who suddenly cannot afford to continue. It is one year of fee support to keep you enrolled — and a launchpad to the Merit Scholarship from the following year.

Coaching

Competitive Exam Coaching

Coaching support for India’s toughest professional exams — NEET, JEE, CA, CMA, UPSC and CAT — so that the cost of preparation never stands between you and becoming a doctor, engineer, accountant, civil servant or manager.

Training

Vocational Training

A skill that earns you an income is worth as much as a degree. We fully fund vocational courses for eligible girls and for destitute women — with no marks requirement at all.

Support

Emergency Assistance

When a sudden crisis threatens to pull a girl out of her studies, this is one-time help, processed quickly, to get her through it. There is no marks bar — if the crisis is genuine, that is enough.

Exam Fee Support

Sometimes everything is in place except the fee to register for an exam. We cover the registration fee for major board, entrance and competitive exams, so a fee is never the reason a girl misses her chance to sit.

Study Material & Device Support

A place to study is not enough without the books, a device, or the data to use it. For enrolled students, we help with textbooks, a tablet or smartphone where a course needs one, and internet connectivity.

Every scholarship and coaching programme has its own marks requirement — and several kinds of support have none at all. Rather than repeat them here, we keep them all in one clear table.

Beyond these programmes

Alongside the eight programmes above, Vedicology Foundation also helps the girls and women we support with healthcare needs and legal aid, on a case-by-case basis. We are developing these into full programmes across Tamil Nadu and Kerala. If this is something you need, mention it when you get in touch.
